Like a donut hole within a donut. Also, when Ransom is first revealed to us the dogs are barking at him and jumping on him like crazy. The same testimony we are told that when the dogs were heard barking late at night from when he came back to mess with the medicine bag. Additionally, after Marta speaks to Blanc alone at night on the patio (during the cool cigar lighting) scene, she goes home and walks in on her mom watching the old TV show Murder, She Wrote. Finally, you can also see the painting of Harlan change from having a stoic/concerned look (when Marta is looking at it before her interview with Blanc) and then when the mystery is solved at the end of the movie we can see Harlan smirking/smiling.
